Vouchers
Vouchers represent a credit toward a reservation
- Managing vouchersA voucher is a unique code that represents an amount of money. The refund for a cancelled reservation may be given out as a voucher. When making a new reservation, the guest can use the unique code to apply the value of the voucher as a discount.
- How to create a voucherVouchers can be issued for the value of a refund, during the cancellation process.
- Voiding a voucher for a refundA voucher is created in lieu of a refund, but this can be reverted if necessary. This can be done by reverting and redoing the original cancellation, or by manually adding a refund to a reservation, and redeem the voucher to the same reservation to balance the amounts.
- Applying a voucher code to a new reservationWhen a guest has a valid voucher code, they can use it when booking a stay online. If they pass the code to you, or you have the appropriate rights to view the voucher code, you can also apply it for them via the back office. If the organization settings allow, it does not matter which of your administrations created the voucher.
- Setting the validity of vouchersThe standard period of time that a voucher is valid for, is an organization setting. The validity of specific vouchers can be edited via the Vouchers index page in the reservations module.
